Call for Workshop Leaders

Tillie Arts is seeking proposals for workshops and classes to be held at the Gallery and grounds of the art space in Marfa. Interested teachers may send an outline of the class to be taught, a resume or c.v., and a link to work or three to four jpeg images of bodies of work indicating area of expertise.

Call for Artists

Tillie Arts is seeking serious artists interested in representation in the West Texas area. Artists may be at any stage of their career, emerging to established. Submissions must be indicative of current direction.

SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE:

  • CD of recent work preferably from 2005-2006
  • Professional, press-ready TIFF or high-resolution JPEG images (300 dpi at least)
  • Photocopies of all submitted artwork and hard copies of your resume, artist statement, etc. for the gallery portfolio.
  • On a separate CD in MS Word include an artist statement, resume, description of work submitted and inventory sheet including price, size, title and medium.

All mediums will be considered, performance pieces or productions must be explained in a cohesive, understandable fashion, along with a definition of specific needs and timeline for each project. Group show proposals must be accompanied by samples of work to be included. Artists will be notified no more than 3 months after work is submitted. If the gallery does not contact you, your portfolio will be returned within 60 days after application deadline ONLY if it comes with a SASE.

Artwork submitted should not be slotted for any other shows in Texas.

Artwork must be archival, framed or mounted, and ready to hang two weeks prior to scheduled opening.
